After the reveal that WWE great “Stone Cold” Steve Austin will grace the cover of WWE 2k16 (which hopefully will have a career mode that doesn’t fast forward through your career once you win the title) ABC News had an interview with the Bionic Redneck. One of the key quotes was that Austin feels like he has wrestled his last match. So don’t get you hopes up for that Lesnar-Austin match at WrestleMania 32 or that dream match of Steve Austin vs. Corporate Champ Phillip Jack Brooks at WrestleMania 37.
“I think I’ve left everything that I’ve got in the ring,” he said. “There’s no reason to go back in the ring and prove anything. I had to ride off into the sunset a little bit earlier than I’d have liked. But that final match I had at WrestleMania with The Rock was my last match.”
So Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin have both rejected Vince’s overtures for big paydays at Mania 32. That means he might have to ::gasp:: use his current roster!
