Main Event For NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 10 is Set

NJPW

The main event to New Japan’s biggest show of the year is now set in stone. Following his victory at the G! Climax tournament and subsequent recent victories over Bad Luck Fale and Tetsuya Naito, Hiroshi Tanahashi is now in line to face the IWGP World Champion Kazuchika Okada in the main attraction of the Tokyo Dome event. Okada won the championship from AJ Styles at NJPW Dominion in July 2015 and recently had a successful title defense against Styles at NJPW King of Pro Wrestling 2015.

This will not be the first time Okada and Tanahashi have main evented a Wrestle Kingdom card. They were the main event of Wrestle Kingdom 7 and also last year’s Wrestle Kingdom 9 main event. Tanhashi was the defending champion in both instances and also defeated Okada on both occasions.

The show will take place on January 4th, 2016 and will broadcast on NJPW’s “NJPW World” streaming service which recently implemented an English commentary feature.
