Once I heard Lesnar was going to be on the show and Owens would be defending the NXT Title against Balor, I was sold on the show right away. The rest of the card was immaterial. Seeing Lesnar again and in a different setting will feel like a big deal. The less is more style of booking with Lesnar makes everything he does feel like a big deal. I am not knocking Seth Rollins by saying this, but if the main event of this show was Seth Vs. Kofi, I wouldn’t care because the pairing is a mismatch, I know Seth would win, and (most importantly), I see Seth wrestle every Monday night, so it wouldn’t feel special at all. With Lesnar, he’s being put into a bout that is a mismatch, we all know he’s going to win, but hey, I haven’t seen him work since Wrestlemania, so I am super stoked to see him.
Owens Vs. Balor is just going to be an amazing match and I can’t wait to see it. Neville Vs. Jericho might be interesting as well but Jericho’s last few runs left a lot to be desired, so we’ll see. I think the change of setting will also be great to see. I’m hoping the show is made up to look like a Japanese show rather than looking like a typical Raw. It would give the show its own flavor and would stand out a bit more.
